Terms of Service

Clear Headed is a self-tracking and accountability tool. It helps you log your cannabis use, set your own limits, keep a streak, journal, and get practical coaching prompts built around the goal you chose.

It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, or addiction service. The coach is software, not a clinician. Nothing here should be used to decide whether to start, stop, or change any medication or treatment. If you have a health question, ask a professional.

We make no guarantee of outcomes. Cutting down or stopping is hard and results vary. The numbers in your report are estimates worked out from your own answers, not measurements.

• You must be 21 or older in the United States, and 18 or older everywhere else.
• You must be legally able to enter into a contract where you live.
• You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account.

• The report is free. No card needed.
• Every plan starts with a 3-day free trial. You pick a plan and enter a card when the trial starts, but you are not charged until the trial ends.
• When the trial ends, the plan you chose renews automatically at its regular price until you cancel: $4.99 per week, $9.99 per month, or $49.99 per year (US dollars). Any taxes are added where required.
• Cancel any time from Settings in the app or through the billing portal. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Cancel later and you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for; there are no refunds for partial periods except where the law requires them.
• Billing is handled by Stripe. By subscribing you also agree to Stripe’s terms for the payment itself.
• If we change prices, we’ll email you at least 14 days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

Use the service for yourself, honestly, and lawfully. Don’t:

• use it to buy, sell, advertise, or arrange the supply of cannabis or any other controlled substance;
• try to break into it, scrape it, overload it, or reverse-engineer it;
• share your account or use someone else’s;
• upload anything illegal, abusive, or that you don’t have the right to share;
• use the coach to try to obtain medical, legal, or emergency advice — it isn’t built for that.

We can suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Everything you write in the journal is yours. You give us permission to store it, process it, and show it back to you, and to send the relevant parts to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy so the service works. We don’t claim ownership of it and we don’t use it for anything other than running the service for you.

You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from Settings → Delete my account, or by emailing us. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription at the end of the current period. We can also close your account if you break these terms or if we shut the service down — in that case we’ll give you notice and a way to export your data.

The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any decision you make based on the numbers, plans, or coaching in the app. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

We may update these terms. For anything material we’ll email you and update the date at the top before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / COUNTRY], and disputes will be dealt with in the courts there — without taking away any protections you’re entitled to as a consumer where you live.
